Rex Fabrics wants everyone to be able to browse our fabrics, request quotes and order samples online, including people who use assistive technology. We are committed to making rexfabrics.us accessible and easy to use for people with disabilities.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, cognitive or other disabilities.
What we do
- Descriptive text alternatives for product and page images
- Clear headings and page structure that work with screen readers
- Labeled form fields with visible instructions and error messages
- Full keyboard access, with visible focus outlines on links, buttons and fields
- Text and background colors chosen for readable contrast
- A pause button on moving slideshows, and reduced motion for visitors who turn it on in their device settings
- Regular testing of our pages with automated accessibility tools
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some content, such as older product photos, documents from suppliers or third-party tools used on our site, may not yet fully meet our standard. We review the site regularly and fix issues as we find them.
